Some information about us
The Society was founded in 1970 by David Roskelly and Zur Brough, then owners of Orchids Bountiful. Orchids Bountiful was noted for having a large collection of orchid species. 2010 marks the fortieth anniversary of the Society.
The Society’s goals are to promote an appreciation of the beauty of this unique family of plants and to educate member as well as the public as to how to cultivate them in the home or in the greenhouse. In addition, we are committed to the preservation of orchids in their natural habitats such that they will be available for future generations.
