For our June 13th meeting, we have Lauris Rose of Cal Orchids as our speaker!
Lauris will introduce us as to who is Cal Orchids. She will outline what they grow in a simulated nursery visit. After 28 years in the business, they have built up one of the most diverse collections of any nursery around the world. Lauris explains that she will cover a lot of territory and geographic habitats during the talk. There are stories weaved throughout, cultural needs addressed and everyone will leave with some confidence on how to grow the plants discussed.
Lauris will be bringing plants for sale at the meeting!
In addition, join fellow members and Lauris for dinner at Pho Thin Restaurant located at 2121 McClelland St. staring at 5:30 pm.
